Hello there...
What did you get out of the conference?

Helga Arnadottir, Eurodesk officer, Iceland:
- A lot! I am new in Eurodesk and in Iceland we don't communicate that much on a national level with the other networks. Here, I got many new contacts that I hope to be able to cooperate more with when I get back home. - I work a lot with advertising Eurodesk towards young people, so I chose the workshop with this topic. It was inspiring and I got many ideas on what you can do. E.g. I think about using video clips to reach young people with information about the opportunitites that Eurodesk provides. |
Hanna Boman, Euroguidance, Finland:
- Among other things, I got a confirmation that we have thought right about some of the communication activities that we are planning for next year. We try to find new channels to reach our target groups, and to think more about what images we use and if we communicate in young people's language. - In Finland, we already have quite a good cooperation between the networks nationally. But it is interesting to meet people who work with the same issues in other parts of Europe and to hear that they meet the same challenges as you yourself. |

Gert Peuliche, EURES adviser, Denmark:
– It is interesting to see how we can collaborate and become more efficient by reducing over lap and thus helping our clients. I wish this initiative would inspire others on the European and the national levels – as well as on the regional and local levels – to increase their collaborating efforts. If the DG’s in Bruxelles, all the NA:s and the differents programmes worked together, then we could make our limited resources to last longer.
– Hopefully this type of joint conferences will become an annual tradition in connection with the EU Presidency. Maybe we will meet again in 2012, when the Presidency is held by Denmark?

Jenna Cattermole, EURES News & Information Bureau, Brussels: - I thought bringing the different networks together was an excellent idea. Up until the conference, I'd always been aware of Eurodesk, Euroguidance and Europass but I did not know very much about them. The conference was a good opportunity to meet representatives of other networks and find out how we can cooperate in the future. - The workshops produced some good ideas and it was interesting to see the different perspectives that were brought from each network. I hope that these conferences can become regular events and that communication between the networks will remain open and fluent. |
