Grundtvig Learning Partnership Conference

Support for flexible and self-directed learning
"Support for flexible and self-directed learning" was the theme of the Grundtvig Learning Partnerships conference held in Sweden on October 6-9 2009. The conference provided a forum for exchange of experiences and innovative efforts in the Learning Partnerships and in adult learning in Europe, with a focus on different modes for support for disadvantaged learners.
Some 150 people attended the conference, including learners, project partners representing 50 Grundtvig Learning Partnerships, national Grundtvig coordinators, speakers, and representatives from the European Commission.
The conference gave plenty of opportunities for people to meet, exchange experiences and discuss their own projects. In addition to this, some more far reaching conclusions were made regarding the relevance, efficiency and effectiveness of the learning Partnership projects and thus the Grundtvig programme.

Regarding the contents of the conference, there were some things that I knew from before, but it was good to freshen up the knowledge. - I have been involved in several Grundtvig project in Cyprus, both centralised and partnerships. For example one project focusing on gender issues and women as a disadvantaged group. |
Sabrina Kuusiniemi, works and studies Finnish, Tanzania/Finland: - It was great! I have learned a lot and met many new people. It's about how immigrants fit into Europe. |
